Tomorrow we celebrate the legacy of Stanley Kubrick with brand new posters for A CLOCKWORK ORANGE and FULL METAL JACKET by Oliver Barrett and 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY by Boris Pelcer.
Oliver Barrett’s approach to film posters excels at catching you off guard. One never knows what to expect with Oliver’s work, except that it always leaves you captivated by the imagery.
For A CLOCKWORK ORANGE, he presents a tight summary of Alex’s self-estimation through the sneering colossus of Malcolm McDowell.
FULL METAL JACKET is a tough film to make posters for, but Oliver succinctly ensnares the struggle to maintain your individuality and basic humanity in war when everything around you tries to burn it away.
Boris Pelcer blew us away earlier in the year with his own A CLOCKWORK ORANGE. He continues his exploration tomorrow with a subtle psychedelic take on humanity’s path from 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY.
