Music Weekly: JOSIE AND THE PUSSYCATS - Music from the Motion Picture LP + DuJour 7-Inch
News
This week is the 20th anniversary of the undisputed Greatest Movie of All Time: JOSIE AND THE PUSSYCATS. A modern cult classic, it has only grown in popularity in the two decades since it was released (ahead of its time).

It's They Live meets MTV's Total Request Live, with an epic pop punk soundtrack fronted by Kay Hanley (Letters To Cleo), featuring songs written by BabyFace, Bif Naked, Adam Duritz, the legendary Adam Schlesinger (RIP), and more. It's truly legendary, and hands down one of our favorite releases in our catalog! Don't miss out. After all...DuJour means limited edition!

That's not all! We will also be releasing a new collection of t-shirts in celebration of the iconic rock trio, as well as a shirt dedicated to their insidious record label MegaRecords.

As always, all new releases go on sale on Wednesdays at Noon.

NEW RELEASE
JOSIE AND THE PUSSYCATS - Music from the Motion Picture LP + DuJour 7-Inch.
Mondo, in partnership with MegaRecords, is excited to present a 20th anniversary pressing of the greatest debut album by a band that technically doesn't actually exist.

Josie and The Pussycats (Music from the Motion Picture) is a time machine back to the last days of rock and roll, and boy bands from the TRL era of MTV. It's such an incredibly catchy album that it went Gold despite the film it soundtracked being widely considered a bomb.

But despite all of that, Josie and the Pussycats is a cult classic in the truest definition. Reevaluated, and reclaimed by an entire generation 20 years later, it's time to find out for yourself what DuJour really means, and swear on your Bus Pass that you'll give this album a spin.

Featuring all of The Pussycats songs on a 12-inch 180 Gram LP. The 2 DuJour songs on a 7-inch single are pressed on a randomly inserted color (After all, Orange is the new Pink, which is the new Blue) and featuring a 12-page booklet full of BTS photos, and interviews with Writer/Directors Deborah Kaplan and Harry Elfont, Kay Hanley, and Josie herself Rachael Leigh Cook.

PICK OF THE WEEK:
SPENCER'S PICK OF THE WEEK - Godspeed You Black Emperor - G_d’s Pee AT STATE’S END! (Constellation) The first album in four years from GYBE and wowsers, it's a doozy. Four suites of music totaling roughly 52 minutes. It's epic, angry, introspective & still all about bringing down those in power. The dynamics and musicianship on display are staggering, and they remain as vital as they ever were. Utterly mind-blowing and captivating.

MO'S PICK OF THE WEEK - Garbage - No Gods No Masters (Stun Volume) Another iconic blast from the past, Shirley Manson and co are back with their long-awaited 7th LP. Their output has been slower as of late, but each album is epic and deserving of their incredible discography. While you're waiting go back and listen to Strange Little Birds.
