This week, we're excited to present nearly a half dozen incredible video game soundtracks, all up for pre-order: The highly anticipated premiere physical release of the soundtrack to MARVEL'S SPIDER-MAN: MILES MORALES (plus a reissue of the soundtrack to the preceding game, MARVEL'S SPIDER-MAN), new Data Discs titles SHENMUE II and IKAGURA, as well as a reissue of Enjoy The Ride's MORTAL KOMBAT I + II OSTs.

MARVEL'S SPIDER-MAN: MILES MORALES - Original Video Game Soundtrack 2XLP

Mondo, in partnership with Hollywood Records, is proud to present John Paesano's soundtrack to the all-new Playstation 5 game MARVEL'S SPIDER-MAN: MILES MORALES.

Picking up where the previous game left off, MARVEL'S SPIDER-MAN: MILES MORALES puts you in the web-slinging hands of the titular character. Miles takes on a mysterious group of rebels known as The Underground, who are going toe-to-toe with an equally enigmatic energy company with seemingly nefarious aims for our hero's hometown of Harlem.

John Paesano is no stranger to Marvel's most famous New York heroes, having composed the score for the previous game Marvel's Spider-Man (not to mention the late, great television series Marvel's Daredevil and Marvel's The Defenders), and his work on this chapter is nothing short of spectacular. Taking elements of his previous score and plussing them, Paesano incorporates trap beat components and drum machine to give the symphonic score a hip hop rhythm section.

This 2xLP set also features three original songs written for the game: "I'm Ready" performed by Jaden, and "Where We Come From" and "This Is My Time" by Lecrae. Featuring all-new artwork by Chun Lo and pressed on 180 gram colored vinyl (also available on 180 gram black vinyl).

SHENMUE II - Original Video Game Soundtrack LP

Following their 2015 release of the original Shenmue score, Data Discs are proud to finally announce the debut vinyl release of its much-loved sequel, SHENMUE II. A selection of beautiful and varied compositions, sourced and selected by SEGA’s Sound Team in Japan, the album richly conveys protagonist Ryo Hazuki’s journey across Hong Kong and beyond.

SHENMUE II is presented as a 180g vinyl edition, carefully remastered in collaboration with SEGA of Japan, packaged in the original cover art and accompanied by two lithographic prints of archival artwork and an obi strip. It has been designed to complement and sit alongside their previous Shenmue release.

Continuing their partnership with Treasure, Data Discs are honored to release the score from the legendary shooter game IKARUGA for the first time on any format.

Unlike its spiritual predecessor Radiant Silvergun, the music of IKARUGA is intense, compact and relentless in its focused energy. Steeped in dramatic tension and propelled by frenetic synths, this sublime score, composed by Hiroshi Iuchi (who also directed the game) perfectly encapsulates the meticulous design and demanding nature of this most revered of shooters.
