MondoCon 2015. Year 2. The Wrath of the Con. It's almost here! We're SO excited for everyone to arrive, and and wanted to send over some general info to get you fully prepared for next weekend. If you have any additional questions before you arrive, feel free to contact us at [email protected]
See you guys one week from tomorrow!

CONVENTION HOURS
MondoCon will be open from 10am - 6pm on Saturday & Sunday.

WHEN YOU ARRIVE

Parking
There’s plenty of free parking surrounding MondoCon. In addition to designated parking spaces in the Linc Business Park (where The Marchesa is located) and The Holiday Inn parking lot, we have a huge section of spots at the ACC Highland, located across the street from The Marchesa. Please follow parking signs to see where it’s OK to park!

Wristband Pick-Up
Wristbands can be picked up at the entrance to both the The Marchesa & Holiday Inn starting at 8am on Saturday (10/3) & Sunday (10/4). You must have a digital or printed version of your Eventbrite ticket & photo ID to receive your wristband. If you’re in town and would like to pick your wristband up before the weekend, we’ll have early wristband pick-up at the entrance of both venues on Friday (10/2) from 10am - 6pm.

Before Doors Open
Lines will likely form outside the entrance of each venue before doors open each morning. Please be kind to your neighbors in line & dispose of trash before heading into the convention!

INSIDE THE CONVENTION

Exhibit Halls
We’re really excited to add an additional exhibit hall this year! The Marchesa is home to Anthony Michael Hall & Arsenio Hall. You can find Annie Hall inside Holiday Inn, which features the record shop. Lines will inevitably form inside the exhibit halls throughout the weekend. Please listen to our volunteers and line management crew to help keep lines as civil & orderly as possible!

Poster Tubes
We’ll have a limited number of tubes available for purchase at the Mondo Store! We’ll also have rolling stations located at both venues.

Charity Art Wall
Participating artists will provide live contributions to a wall of 12” x 12” wooden panels onstage in Arsenio Hall. The panels will be raffled at the end of the weekend with all proceeds benefiting the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund. Please come by anytime throughout the weekend to buy $10 tickets and support this important cause. You can find out more about CBLDF here.

Volunteers
Should you have any questions or need assistance throughout the weekend, we have a team of incredible volunteers available to help out; they’ll be wearing gold shirts designed by We Buy Your Kids. They’re volunteering to make your convention experience better, so please be nice to them!

Food & Drinks
You won’t have to go farther than the parking lot to try some of the best food Austin has to offer. We have a solid line up of food trucks this year including Stony’s Pizza, Level Up, Therapy Coffee, Frank Hotdogs & Kebabilicious at The Marchesa; Micklethwait Craft Meats & Arlo’s will be at the Holiday Inn.

We’ll have a selection of MondoCon specialty cocktails created by Alamo Drafthouse Beverage Director Bill Norris, and the debut of Mondo Pale Ale brewed by our friends at Austin Beerworks, at The Marchesa lobby bar.

Please have a digital or printed version of your Eventbrite RSVP ticket ready. RSVPs will become void as soon as the panel begins and your seat will be turned over to the standby line - don't be late!

All daytime panel RSVPs are currently booked up, but we've held back 25% of seats in each panel (plus any no-show RSVPs) attendees in the standby line.

RSVPs for our latest panel addition, Aaron Draplin's 'Tall Tales From A Large Man,' will be available here Monday (9/28) at 12pm CST.

Screenings
Please arrive to evening screenings at least 10 to 15 minutes before showtime with a digital or printed version of your Eventbrite ticket and a photo ID. The name on your ticket must match the name on your ID. There will be no standby line for screenings, unfortunately.

There are still some tickets available for Halloween (with poster by Jason Edmiston) & Pieces Live Score (with 7-Inch & poster by Jay Shaw) screenings!

FRIZZI 2 FULCI

If you're going to be around Friday night (10/2), we highly recommend attending the FRIZZI 2 FULCI Live Show, composer Fabio Frizzi's tribute to Italian horror director Lucio Fulci. It's going to be an incredible night, and tickets are still available here! You don't need a MondoCon wristband to attend. Tickets can be purchased here.

Can't wait to see you guys soon!
