We're excited to present our next gallery show, “Saturday Morning Mashup: The Art of Jeroen Huijbregts,” featuring Huijbregts’ iconic illustrations, paintings, and drawings inspired by his love of comic books, cartoons, and movies from the ‘70s and ‘80s. The gallery show kicks off with a reception open to the public on Friday, April 22, 2016 from 7pm to 10pm with Huijbregts in attendance, and will be open Tuesday through Saturday from 12pm to 6pm until Saturday, May 7, 2016.
"We first came across Jeroen's work online and were instantly intrigued and blown away by it,” said Mondo Co-Founder/Creative Director Mitch Putnam. “It's extremely exciting to see a wide variety of characters mashed up so effortlessly, adding a new identity to these beloved icons so ingrained in our imaginations. We can't wait to see the full show come together.”
Hailing from the Netherlands, Huijbregts is an illustrator and graphic designer respected and recognized for his unique skill and the thought process he puts into each piece.
“I try to blend iconic popular culture imagery to create an image that’s recognizable, but also something that's new and unique. I’m stoked to share the new pieces and ideas I've been working for this show,” said Jeroen Huijbregts.
