We are very excited to announce that we are issuing the soundtrack to BLUE SUNSHINE on vinyl for the very first time. We will also be reissuing the film on limited edition VHS!
Featuring artwork by Jay Shaw and remastered for vinyl by James Plotkin, this deluxe first time pressing on vinyl is limited to 1,000 copies. Pressed on 180 gram heavy weight black vinyl with a randomly-inserted translucent blue variant.
The clamshell packaged VHS, limited to 400 copies, is available in BLACK and randomly-inserted BLUE cassettes.
In celebration of both releases, this coming Monday 2/17, Mondo & Music Monday are pleased to present a 35mm screening of the cult classic film at the Alamo Drafthouse Ritz in Austin with writer/director, Jeff Lieberman, in attendance. We will be premiering the Blue VHS and a special Blue Iris colored vinyl (limited to 200 copies) at the screening event.
More about the film below:
Jerry Zipkin is a nice guy. He graduated top of his class. He's respectful of women. He's in love. It seems like Zipkin's got it made, until the night one of his friends loses his hair to spontaneous alopecia totalus, freaks out and throws three innocent women into a fireplace. Now Zipkin's on the run from the law, wrongfully accused, trying to prove his innocence. It turns out others are going bald and going on murderous rampages. It's up to Zipkin to find the missing link. It turns out they all have one thing in common, and that one thing is called BLUE SUNSHINE.
Writer/director Jeff Lieberman will be in attendance to talk about the film, as well as sign copies of the soundtrack and VHS.
