In celebration of our new local beer sponsor, Austin Beerworks, we asked Sonny and Biddy of We Buy Your Kids to illustrate a koozie design for their upcoming gallery show, HARSH MAJICAL. The Australian duo was happy to help…and also let us know that koozies are called “stubby holders” down under.
The two-sided koozie design includes a reworked version of the WBYK’s logo, and mirrors the offbeat, colorful style present throughout the posters and original art featured in the show. The first fifteen people in line at the opening will receive a free koozie, and the remaining koozies will be sold throughout the duration of the show!
We’re big fans of Austin Beerworks’ beer and design style and are thrilled to now offer a selection at our gallery shows. We will have the Fire Eagle American IPA, Black Thunder German-Style Schwarz, Pearl-Snap German-Style Pils and Peacemaker Extra Pale Ale available at this Friday’s opening reception.
