We're very excited to present our next vinyl soundtrack release: a 7-Inch single from the film Grand Piano. For those who have seen the film, the single features Patrick Godderaux's 'La Cinquette,’ known as The Unplayable Piece.
For those that haven't seen the film – and we highly encourage that you do - Grand Piano was a hit at last year's Fantastic Fest, and quickly became one of our favorite indie films of this year. It’s a Hitchcock-ian thriller starring Elijah Wood, John Cussack and Alex Winter, directed by the immensely talented Eugenio Mira (the composer of the score for the film TimeCrimes [MOND-010], which we released on vinyl last year) who also wrote the music contained on the single. You can check out the film on Netflix here in the US, and is available on VOD and on Blu-Ray and DVD.
The disc is housed in a beautiful custom Piano shaped jacket designed by Alan Hynes, as a formal invitation to the recital from the film, embossed with gold foil on the front, interior and back.
