We’re so thrilled to announce Mondo x SteelBook #002, the Richard Linklater movie, Boyhood. Ever since experiencing this film for the first time I have not been able to shake the sensation of sheer awe - a moviemaker so committed to a project that took 12 years to complete and a cast and crew that stayed together to help tell the story of Mason Jr. and his family.
With a beautiful combination of colours, we’ve translated Tomer Hanuka’s Boyhood poster to the SteelBook canvas using special treatments to reveal rich metallics in Mason Jr.’s eyes and hair throughout, and a partial Satin/Glossy finish to enhance the depth of the images. The contents include the blu-ray and the digital download, both adorned with Tomer’s illustrations.
