Celebrating the continued legacy of Batman, it's hard to gloss over the importance of Batman: The Animated Series (1992-1995). Following the success of Tim Burton's film adaptation of the character, Warner Bros. Animation brought the character into a gorgeous and timeless Art Deco version of Gotham City, and using villains from the entire run of Batman's history (including a few new ones, like Harley Quinn, who made her debut appearance on this show in 1992). Bruce Timm & Eric Radomski - along with writing of Paul Dini - crafted arguably one of the most iconic versions of the Dark Knight to date.
It also, very importantly, standardized the style of music and the importance of it in serialized, animated storytelling, especially in the DC Animated Universe, which followed with Superman: The Animated Series, Batman Beyond, and many other landmark titles in the 90s.
We've carefully curated 16 of our favorite full episode scores from the hit show (remastered for vinyl), and put them together in a beautiful Box Set, with unique, brand new artwork for each episode by Justin Erickson of Phantom City Creative.
