Welcome to our Comic-Con@Home Toys and Collectibles presentation! We’re really bummed that we can’t see you all in person, as the interaction with fans at our booth is always such an amazing experience. This online presentation is the next best thing, and it's actually given us the chance to share exclusive looks at concept art and in-progress projects we wouldn’t have been able to show off at our SDCC booth. Let's kick things off with our incredible Tiki release calendar for 2020 and 2021.
Toho and Mondo are stoked to bring Godzilla and his monster buddies to life in Tiki form! Designed by Mondo Creative Directors Mike Bonnano and Hector Arce and sculpted by Tufan Sezer, this is the first official Godzilla Tiki Mug to ever exist and we're beyond excited to have the honor of being chosen to bring it to you.
Artist Doug P'Gosh has captured the likeness of Pennywise beautifully (and horrifyingly), and he's added some gorgeous tiki styling to it. Tufan Sezer brought the design to life with his incredible sculpture. We feel this Pennywise tiki mug is the definitive Pennywise mug out there and a must-have for any horror fans.
ALADDIN is one of our favorite Disney films. As children, seeing the Tiger emerge from the sand was such a magical feeling that we hoped to capture in a tiki mug! We're very pleased with how this mug has turned out.
Next up, our Toys and Collectibles slate for 2020 and beyond.
In August we have an awesome Rick and Morty polystone statue designed by Eric Siebenaler, sculpted by Tufan Sezer and painted by Mara Ancheta.
In October we'll be releasing our 1/6 scale CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON, sculpted by the amazing Matt Black, and painted by Anthony Mestas and Mike Plfaumer. We're going to be offering a regular green version and a black and white "silver screen" Mondo exclusive.
In November we have the first statue in our Toho Godzilla line: GODZILLA 89. Sculpted by Mark Newman and Hector Arce and painted by Hector Arce, this statue measures 14 inches tall and comes with a ton of swap out parts. We are super excited to talk about this line in the future and flesh it out with a bunch of more monsters and versions of Godzilla.
Lastly for 2020 – our first Marvel Mecha Figure, Spider-Man Mecha. This figure will stand at 10 inches tall, be fully articulated, and an assortment of accessories.
Mondo is also going to get an exclusive Symbiote version of the figure, only available at mondoshop.com.
We're so excited for 2021, when we'll be launching so many products that fans have been asking for for years *cough* The Joker 1/6th *cough* and our awesome take on our first female character for our Masters of the Universe line – She-Ra.
We are completely floored to be able to announce we will be producing Godzilla soft vinyl figures and small scale statues! Getting the honor to make Godzilla inspired Sofubi is a dream come true for us here at Mondo, so we can promise that these will be made with love! Our Hedorah Sofbui figure was designed and sculpted by Hector Arce. And will be the first one to launch our Sofubi and Godzilla line.
Lastly we are pumped to share that we are collaborating with legendary toy designer James Groman to bring his unique toy designs to the Marvel Universe! Our first Soft Vinyl figure in this line will be the classic Marvel Monster, Man-Thing! James has done a mind-blowing job on this design. On top of creating this bonkers design, James will be sculpting and painting this figure too.
