This week, we are thrilled to introduce you to THE RECORD SHOP AT MONDO. We’ve always thought of ourselves as more than just a record label and wanted to reflect that with THE RECORD SHOP.
What can you expect from THE RECORD SHOP AT MONDO? First, you’ll notice that we have a fresh new look and a wholly customized navigation, that should make it easier for you to find exactly what you want ... and discover an undiscovered gem or a new favorite label. We have likeminded items grouped for easy browsing in collections such as Video Games, Blockbusters, and Horror, which will enable both completists and casual browsers to see what holes they have in their collection.
We, of course, are continuing our distributed titles program, where we highlight our favorite records and labels; not only carrying new releases (including many Mondo-only colorways), but also extensive back catalogue sections to crate dig until your heart is content. We’ll also be featuring staff picks from the wider Mondo family, as well as special guest picks from the composers, artists, and labels we love.
Over the coming months, we'll also be adding to our distributed titles program with select non-soundtrack releases that fit within our worldview ... so if you typically like our Picks of the Week, expect to find them popping up in-store.
We are also launching pre-orders for our book (yes, we wrote a book)! THE ART OF SOUNDTRACKS is a 12x12 art book written by ourselves, with a foreword by Michael Giacchino and Todd Gilchrist, featuring the history of both Mondo and Death Waltz during our first ten years in existence. It’s a gorgeous hardback edition, designed and printed by Insight Editions, with an incredible embossed cover from Alan Hynes. The whole package is rounded out with our traditional obi-strip! We hope you enjoy it, and here’s to the next ten years!
Our aim is that THE RECORD SHOP will become your one-stop place to buy the best vinyl releases that this community has to offer. Please let us how you find the new site ... we are always open to suggestions. And join in the conversation on Twitter: @MondoDeathWaltz.
Thanks,
Spence, Mo & Shannon.
