DEATH WALTZ ORGINALS
My Dear Killer - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack LPMusic by Ennio Morricone. Package design by Eric Adrain Lee. Pressed on 180 Gram red & white color-in-color vinyl. One-time pressing. Limited to 550 copies. $30
Death Waltz Recording Company is proud to present the soundtrack to the 1972 giallo MY DEAR KILLER (MID CARO ASSASSINO) with music by Maestro Ennio Morricone and package design by Eric Adrian Lee.
Directed by Tonino Valerii (Assistant Director on A FISTFUL OF DOLLARS and FOR A FEW DOLLARS MORE), the film is easily one of the greatest of all giallo films to come out of Italy. You owe it to yourself to track it down and watch it. The score from Maestro Ennio Morricone is absolutely outstanding and not only is it one of his most unheard scores but also one of his best during his giallo period.
The record is intense, unsettlingly creepy and mesmerizing. It features the haunting vocals of Italian musical royalty Edda Dell'Orso on several tracks and its jazz-lounge stylings are absolutely superb. It's incredibly easy on the ears and lends itself to repeat listens.

Returning on scoring duties is the Canadian outfit Shooting Guns. Hailing from Saskatoon, SK, in the heart of the Canadian prairies, Shooting Guns are hard at work fortifying the heavy end of the psychedelic spectrum, haunting the foggy moor between Sabbath-styled doom riffery and heavy pulse-riding kraut-rock. Their debut LP, ‘Born To Deal in Magic: 1952-1976,’ was nominated for the Polaris Music Prize in 2012. Their sophomore LP, Brotherhood of the Ram, released in 2013, was nominated for the 2015 JUNO Metal/Hard Album of the Year as well as the Polaris Music Prize. The ANOTHER WOLFCOP Original Soundtracksees the band’s most ambitious recording to date, incorporating a wide range of influences and instruments to expand on the WOLFCOP universe and take this nail-biting, action-packed film over the edge.

FREDDY’S GREATEST HITS - The Elm Street Group MONDO EXCLUSIVE). Released by Strange Disc Records. Red & green swirl vinyl. Note: This item is a pre-order and won't ship until mid-April. Limited to 350 copies worldwide. $25
Due to overwhelming demand Strange Disc Records are offering a one-off limited re-press on green & red swirl vinyl.
The record was originally released in 1987 at the height of the ‘Freddy’ craze (Freddy already had three movies under his belt, and a fourth on the way. Even by then, he was a veritable pop icon; as Americana as hot dogs). This record contains nine tracks, a mix of covers (from the likes of Wilson Pickett, The Everly Brothers & Sam the Sham and The Pharaohs) and original songs and instrumentals.
The album is everything you except it to be - screaming '80s drum machines and distortion-filled electric guitars being drowned out by synthesizers. Over the top of these songs is Robert Englund doing the voice (and manic laugh) of Freddy Kruger. The actual music-making was done by the Elm Street Group, who were actually much respected studio musicians working for RIC records. Featuring artists like Kevin Kelly and Alan Brewer, who both contributed to Rick Wakeman’s soundtrack for THE BURNING.
