What you can’t see can hurt you…..
We are thrilled to be bringing you two absolutely killer releases this week! First up we have Benjamin Wallfisch's score to Leigh Whannell’s THE INVISIBLE MAN this week in partnership with our friends at Backlot Music. The film smashed the box office this past weekend and is one of the finest horror movies in a long time. The score by Ben Wallfisch is an absolute tour de force and highly recommended. We are super stoked to be working with both of these guys again.
Next, we are also excited to bring you Brooke & Will Blairs score to BLOOD ON HER NAME a Southern gothic-neo noir that drips with tension and dread. The film is one of my favourite films I saw on the festival circuit last year, and we couldn't be prouder to be releasing both digitally and on vinyl. Ben Wallfisch has delivered an incredible muscular score for The Invisible Man, Mixing classical strings, synths & Industrial noise it is both organic and synthetic, pummelling you one minute and barley there the next. Honestly, this hasn’t left my headphones since we were sent it. Wallfisch expands on the sonics of his IT scores and while there are inspiration and nods to Bernard Herrman in the urgency of the string section it feels contemporary and timeless. An astounding achievement.

What would you do if you accidentally killed someone? Death Waltz Recording Company invites you to ponder this with the haunting score to Matthew Pope & Don Thompson's film BLOOD ON HER NAME, composed by Brooke and Will Blair (GREEN ROOM, I DON'T FEEL AT HOME IN THIS WORLD ANYMORE). A unique Gothic-noir meditation on classic themes of honesty and tragedy, the film asks the audience how they would react after a fatal incident, and how far their conscience would allow them to go. CRAWL is being given the vinyl treatment by Rusted Wave! This release, not available on any other physical format, features the first-ever release of the heart-pounding score by Max Aruj and Steffen Thum from Paramount Pictures' 2019 summer horror flick!
