In collaboration with American Zoetrope and our friends at Nautilus Art Prints, we are very excited to release a new poster for Francis Ford Coppola's masterful 1984 musical/crime drama, THE COTTON CLUB, featuring beautiful artwork by Laurent Durieux.
A dive into the sound of jazz during the Prohibition period of the '20s and '30s, the film is a sprawling hybrid of musical and gangster drama that focuses on the lives of characters that intersect within Harlem's famed Cotton Club. It stars Richard Gere, Gregory Hines, Diane Lane, Nicolas Cage, and Lonette McKee.
In 2017, Coppola debuted a longer, structurally different cut of the film more in line with his original vision at the Telluride Film Festival. Featuring unreleased scenes and musical sequences, this version was released to critical acclaim last year under the title THE COTTON CLUB: ENCORE.
