Tomorrow we will have a pair of truly gorgeous posters by Matthew Woodson for one of the best crime thrillers ever put to film: BULLITT. The 1968 classic, starring Steve McQueen and directed by Peter Yates, is notorious for featuring what is arguably the greatest car chase in film history. It’s truly an all-timer. Matthew had a vision for what he wanted to do with this poster and delivered in spades. This is a film we have hoped to tackle for some time, and we could not be more proud of the final result.

"As posters often do, BULLITT began as a complaining session between Jay Shaw and myself. We were talking about how much we missed the “classy” film posters of the late '60s and early '70s. They were so straightforward and masterfully painted. Those posters and the artists who made them are what made me fall in love with poster art in the first place. So for once I decided to stop whining and actually attempt to make a period homage to one of the most stylish films ever made. For this poster, there were 3 simple rules: Make McQueen look as handsome as possible, make the Mustang look fast, and don’t embarrass myself on something with Pablo Ferro’s name attached to it." - Matthew Woodson
