Tomorrow we have a pair of beautiful posters for two iconic films that came out in the last few years: MOONLIGHT and SILENCE. Both will be available tomorrow (4/19) at a random time at mondotees.com.
First up, we have a gorgeous poster by Sara Wong for one of our favorite A24 titles, Best Picture-winner MOONLIGHT. Told in three chapters, Barry Jenkins’ incredible film depicts the story of Chiron, a young African-American man, as he comes of age and discovers who he is in Miami. Like the film itself, Sara’s artwork is delicate, authentic and achingly beautiful. We've wanted to make a poster for this movie for a while and we couldn't be more excited to have partnered with Sara to release this poster.

In addition to MOONLIGHT, we’ll have a new poster by Jonathan Burton for Martin Scorsese’s historical drama, SILENCE. Set in the 17th century, the film is a story about two missionaries who must travel to Japan (where Catholicism is severely outlawed and those who practice it are brutally persecuted) in search of their mentor. Jonathan hit another level with this poster. We were blown away when sketches came in and again once final art was completed. His clean line work and muted colors beautifully emulate a classic Japanese woodcut style that’s unlike anything we’ve seen previously in his work. Just stunning.
