Tomorrow at 11AM CST we have a new poster by Francesco Francavilla for one of the best new horror releases of the year: THE INVISIBLE MAN, starring Elisabeth Moss. The film was released on home video this week and we're super excited to have partnered with our friends at Universal and Blumhouse on a new poster for this excellent adaptation of one of Universal's classic monsters.
Directed by Leigh Whannell, this film is a fantastic modern update of H.G. Wells' original novel, and we are thrilled to have Francesco Francavilla handle the artwork for this new Invisible Man eight years after delivering an absolute stunner for the original James Whale film. If you haven't seen it, we highly encourage shutting off all the lights and diving in. You won't be disappointed.
"I've been a fan of THE INVISIBLE MAN ever since I watched the classic Universal version as a kid. Unfortunately, there haven't been very many movies based on this horror icon, so I was excited to see the character come into view from Universal and Blumhouse. I saw the film opening weekend and LOVED it, and I was happy to be asked to do a poster for it. Years ago I created a poster for the original film - it's exciting to be able to do one for the modern version. I wanted to pay homage to that original poster by using the color scheme for the variant similar to the color palette so you can hang them side by side if you're so inclined." – Francesco Francavilla

Continuing the celebration of this horror stalwart, we have a new enamel pin for THE INVISIBLE MAN from artist Matt Taylor. When asked about this project, Taylor explained:
"The Universal Monsters are the rosetta stone of horror movies, and after having tackled three of them already I wasn't going to pass up the opportunity to tackle another. The Invisible Man presents the ultimate artist's conundrum...how do you draw something that isn't even there? Well, wrapped in bandages obviously, but with little nods to the madness that (doesn't) lie underneath."
This classic version of the troubled chemist uses clever cut-outs to depict this centuries-old villain. The Invisible Man is a fantastic fourth installment in Taylor's Universal Monsters pin series, but certainly not his last. The Invisible Man Enamel Pin.
