MARVEL'S LUKE CAGE: SEASON TWO - Original Soundtrack 2XLP
Series Two of LUKE CAGE was bigger in scope than Series One, and the same can be said of the score from Adrian Younge and Ali Shaheed Muhammad. Mixing hip-hop, funk, disco, reggae and all points in between. Absolutely phenomenal production and instrumentation. These guys are the real deal.
THOROUGHBREDS - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack LP
Criminally under-heard; this score absolutely kicks. One of the the most original scores of the year and one that pushes the sonics of the vinyl format. This score is a rhythmic monster that relies heavily on beats and isn’t afraid to leave the tracks sparse bristling with raw energy. I’d urge everyone to check this out.
BIG TROUBLE IN LITTLE CHINA - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack 2XLP
This is John Carpenter and Alan Howarth having an absolute riot in the studio. I can just imagine the fun they had recording this after years of creating some of the most iconic and scary film music during the '80s. It’s excessive and bombastic and deserves to be in every record collection.
BUIO OMEGA - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack LP
I’m absolutely loving our Goblin re-issue series and working with AMS and Cinevox has been a dream. Pulling unreleased tracks from the archives for these releases is super fun and the sound on these pressings is awesome. Let's talk about how incredible Randy Ortiz's artwork for releases have been. Amazing stuff.
EVIL DEAD - A NIGHTMARE REIMAGINED 2XLP
What an absolute dream working with Joe LoDuca on this completely revised score to one of the greatest horror films ever made. Joe has kept the spirit of his original score but expanded the themes perfectly. A truly terrifying listen.
POP THE BUBBLE EP by Dolls
A killer four tracker on our Death Waltz Originals offshoot from London two-piece Dolls. Drums, guitar, duel vocals and some of the the best garage pop I’ve heard in a long time. This band is definitely going places and I’m very proud to have released their first single.
THE RITUAL - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack LP
I LOVE this film! It's a modern update of '60s folk-horror and Ben Lovett's score is just phenomenal. Mixing the traditional (woodwind and strings) and the modern (synths) he creates a spellbinding immersive soundtrack and for my money is one of the best composers working today.
REVENGE - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack 2XLP
ROB delivers another rip roaring synth score to one of the best films this year. Easily as good as his groundbreaking MANIAC score and as a listen this gets better every time you spin it.
HALLOWEEN: 1 - 5 - Original Soundtracks
Releasing the HALLOWEEN scores this year was one of the most stressful campaigns we have released, but also one of the most rewarding. HALLOWEEN fans are unlike anyone else in the horror world they are absolute gatekeepers of the brand and to see the incredibly positive response to all five releases has been phenomenal. The topper on the cake was going back to the original stems for the first film to release the definitive vinyl version of the original film score.
HOUSE ON THE EDGE OF THE PARK - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack LP
One of Maestro Riz Ortolani's (Cannibal Holocaust) finest scores; it's a beautiful mix of subtle orchestration and full of Studio 54 disco madness. An absolute banger!
