This week, we’re excited to announce three classic horror soundtracks making their official vinyl debuts.
THE CHANGELING of course features the enduring music composed by Rick Wilkins, Ken Wannberg and Howard Blake, as well as original artwork by Gary Pullin. THE MIST boasts Mark Isham's haunting score alongside artwork by Daniel Danger and an original sticker sheet by Kimberely Holladay. And Jesper Kyd’s TUMBBAD score makes its first appearance in any physical format with original artwork by Luke Insect.

THE CHANGELING – ORIGINAL MUSIC AND SOUNDTRACK 2XLP
One of the greatest ghost stories of all time, 1980’s THE CHANGELING finds George C. Scott tormented by the angry spirit of a dead boy as he mourns the traumatic death of his own wife and daughter.
Elegant, yet chilling, the score was created by composers Rick Wilkins and Ken Wannberg (the latter of whom was also John Williams' longtime music editor). Additionally, the soundtrack features the work of Howard Blake, who was brought on specifically to compose the pivotal Music Box Theme.
Performed by The National Philharmonic Orchestra of London, the result is one of the most enduring and classic in all of horror, with the tense sadness of the strings accompanied by piano, alternately wistful and diabolical, darting through the shadows of the haunted house.

Death Waltz Recording Co., in collaboration with Varèse Sarabande Records and Lions Gate Films, are proud to present the soundtrack to 2007’s THE MIST.
Helmed by the great Frank Darabont (THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, THE WALKING DEAD), THE MIST holds a special place in the Stephen King adaptation hall of fame. It is at-once a budget-conscious monster movie with killer FX and a pedigreed drama with a stacked cast that shrewdly snagged the Golden Globe and Oscar-nominated Mark Isham for a stellar score that serves both beautifully.

TUMBBAD – ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK 2XLP
Sleep, or else Hastar will come for you! Humanity’s inclination for greed is the driving force behind TUMBBAD, Rahi Anil Barve’s 2018 horror opus that takes place in the Indian village of the same name. TUMBBAD follows Vinayak, a man who returns to the village he grew up in to search for the treasure hidden by Hastar - the firstborn son of the Goddess of Prosperity, who was banished for his greed. But while Vinayak looks to loot Hastar’s wealth, he ignores warnings about the terrible curse that will befall him and his avarice, a spell that is said to cause a transformation into something more hideous than anyone can imagine. The film is broken into three chapters that follow Vinayak’s life across several time periods.
TUMBBAD’s haunting score was composed by Jesper Kyd (ASSASSIN’S CREED, BORDERLANDS) and immediately offers an unsettling atmosphere as we see Vinayak as a child, with sickly dissonant string lines and pounding percussion introducing the dark world of Hastar. Vinayak returns as an adult fifteen years later, where Kyd applies a more melodic approach that sees the score’s main theme dominate, with a melancholic reading on cimbalom. The motif then takes on a reflective feel in the final chapter before it explodes into chaos, as an older Vinayak and his son have the inevitable showdown with Hastar, ending in a dynamic reprisal of the main theme that effortlessly evokes the otherworldly powers contained in TUMBBAD.
