Three Cheers for Thought Bubble 2020!
News

In a year where hope has felt buried in the sand, the brilliant minds at Thought Bubble are here with shovels in hand, ready to offer a bit of sunshine and smiles. For those of you who have been around for a minute, you know how much we love Thought Bubble. It's been a highlighted-and-circled-with-hearts date in our calendars since we first started attending in 2013. Not only is TB one of the most welcoming and wonderfully curated comic conventions in the world, but the atmosphere and spirit of the convention itself served as a huge inspiration for us in creating MondoCon. Though we can't be there in person this year, we have been supporters of the magic that team conjures for years, and are proud to be a part of the fun yet again - even if we're nearly 5,000 miles apart.

The Thought Bubble team have put together a simply incredible digital comic con that you can enjoy from the comforts of your own couch... and it's totally free! Seriously. Check it out. You can view their full program for Saturday and Sunday HERE. If you're a fan of comics and incredible people, you are sure to lose your mind at the talent and panels they have planned. We can't wait, and we're also excited to be a small part of the party.

On Friday we've got a few fun things planned. First, we are proud to help kick off Thought Bubble properly as we partner with Tim Burgess and #TimsTwitterListeningParty! If you're unfamiliar, these listening parties are all about being together apart. On Friday at 21:00 GMT on the dot (that's 3PM CT, and 1PM PT/4PM ET for us Yankees), hit play on whatever format you like and set off on a cosmic odyssey as we listen to Michael Giacchino and his Nouvelle Modernica Orchestra's brilliant debut, "Travelogue Vol. 1"! Follow along using the hashtag #TimsTwitterListeningParty and engage with each other along with special guests Michael Giacchino (@m_giacchino), Henry Abrams (@henabrms), Spencer Hickman (@deathwaltzrecs), and Tim Burgess (@Tim_Burgess, @LISTENING_PARTY).

Additionally we'll have two new posters going up that we're super excited about. First is a poster for SCOOB! by Matt Taylor. Straight up, this movie is a good time. If you grew up like me watching the old Scooby-Doo (and every other Hanna-Barbera) cartoon, then there's a lot for you to love here. If you saw the end credits sequence and thought,..."hey, that looks familiar...," well it's probably because the art comes courtesy of our old pal Matt Taylor! He provided all of the illustrations, and we're happy to have worked together on a poster for the film. With the recent passing of Scooby-Doo's creators, the legendary Joe Ruby and Ken Spears, we're proud to celebrate the legacy of these enduring characters and creations.

In addition to SCOOB!, we'll have new posters for A CLOCKWORK ORANGE from an artist we've had our eyes on for quite some time: Murugiah. His work is bold and brilliantly surreal. It's unlike any one else out there at the moment. Quite frankly our collective jaws dropped when we saw what he'd conjured up for this poster, and we hope you love it as much as we do. The poster is available in both a regular edition, as well as a Tamil language variant. There is a lot more to come with Murugiah, and we hope you'll join us for the ride.

We hope everyone is hanging in there and staying safe. We miss you, and hope to see you in the real world soon.
