This week, we’re making that beautiful journey across the Atlantic and into to the UK for one of our favorite weekends ever: THOUGHT BUBBLE.
We're first stopping over in Leeds on Thursday for a mega(-city one) party at the Belgrave Music Hall, then setting up camp in Harrogate for the weekend … and we want to see you for all of it.
First up, on Thursday, November 10, we’re taking over the Belgrave Music Hall in Leeds to champion the 10th anniversary of Alex Garland’s still-excellent adaptation of the iconic 2000AD comic, DREDD. We’ll have the Thought Bubble exclusive version of Paul Leonard-Morgan’s brilliant soundtrack available on Eco-Vinyl, as well as a new screenprinted poster, both featuring artwork by Luke Preece. Luke will also be in attendance, so we’re asking all citizens to be good citizens.
In addition to these releases, the night will also feature DJ sets by Stuart Braithwaite from Mogwai, Crash Records, and a live performance by Dream Division. Jock will also be lurking around the space doing a live painting, so y’know, you don’t want to miss that. There will be food and drink specials from the Belgrave, so come hungry and thirsty. The event starts at 6PM (or 18:00), and is FREE and open to the public. We hope to see you there.
Then on the weekend (Saturday and Sunday, November 12-13), we’ll be in Harrogate for Thought Bubble proper. We’re Booth 8 in the Comixology Hall.
Our friends at SYFY WIRE recently shared what we’ll have with us at the booth, which you can catch a glimpse of below. PLEASE NOTE: we’ve only brought a portion of the total run size with us to Thought Bubble, so some copies will be available online at a future date, and in the case of Murugiah’s DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS and Rafa Orrico’s THE CROW, those will have full regular editions available online.
Murugiah and Luke Preece will both be in attendance at the show, and at the booth signing their posters.
In addition to these new posters, we’ll have remaining copies of the DREDD soundtrack, as well as some harder to find LPs… and maybe even a few test pressings available. And finally, we made an exclusive patch for the show that will be FREE with purchase while supplies last. 1 per person! We only made a few hundred of these, so let’s be cool about it.
