Over a year late, but finally on Vinyl as of last week: Doja Cat's third album started as an album I overheard my wife listening to an album I haven't been able to stop listening to for over a year. In this world with no monoculture, it's been easier and easier for me to dismiss artists who seemingly blow up overnight, or have a viral song - my incorrect perception of her meteoric rise during the pandemic - but Planet Her is wall to wall excellence. I haven't been this excited about an album in the pop rap space since Rihanna ghosted us after her mic-drop of an album Anti. Check it out
