I was captivated by the original poster in the video store when I was a kid, and for my own take on the film poster I was immediately drawn to the classic gruesome visuals of Evil Ash, the Deadites and the evils of the Necronomicon. I had to dig deep to try and do justice to the inventiveness and creative spirit of the character designs and effects on screen!"

"What set ARMY OF DARKNESS apart from the EVIL DEAD films was that Sam Raimi dialed up the jokes, manic camera work, and practical effects gags to cartoon absurdity. The film also grew into a cult fantasy epic from pretty modest indie horror roots. Matt Stikker's art gives us the larger than life Evil Ash with his entire Deadite army marching to battle as Good Ash says the magic words (basically) to undo the evil unleashed. It's truly a sight for sore bones!"
