"My first contact with D&D was the 80s cartoon, which I still hold dear today, being one of my favorites from my childhood. I remember that at the time I wanted to know more about the world where the story was set (this was a subject that interested me more than the main characters themselves). I always imagined those stories coming from an old book, which is why it is the element from which all the action comes in this poster.
When I was invited to do a more surrealist reinterpretation of the first book, which looked like a band poster, I was a little apprehensive but excited because I knew that I would have to pay homage to the oldest monsters in the game, and I would have to do my best not to disappoint the first-time fans. Drawing the Beholder was the coolest part because this character plays a very important role in my imagination as an artist ... after all, I am known for drawing a lot of eyes in my work as an illustrator."
