"Bob Eggleton’s original Godzilla art has been seen on countless covers for FAMOUS MONSTERS OF FILMLAND magazine. I am so grateful to have gotten to work with him on this new duo of GODZILLA VS BIOLLANTE posters. He’s given us Biollante in two forms: Godzilla’s encounter with the Colossal Rose (SDCC Booth Exclusive) and another of the Toxic Plant Beast spewing acidic sap all over the King (Online Timed Edition). Throughout his career, Bob Eggleton has defined much of the world of Godzilla as we know it, and I'm looking forward to witnessing more!" -Josh Manderville, Senior Art Director
“GODZILLA VS BIOLLANTE is 35 years old this year, in this 70th year of Godzilla! It was the second film in the Heisei Series, as it is known, which introduced us to a meaner, more ferocious Godzilla and the first opponent that was a morphing, mutating monster, a plant named Biollante who’s gender is female. She is so named for the European tree spirit, and her DNA combines that of a plant, a human and, a Godzilla cell. She first appears as a giant flower with snapping mouths at the ends of tentacles, later she mutates into a mouthed and sap spewing creature. My idea was to capture the bright colors of her flower and sap. Godzilla himself appears much more svelte and with multiple rows of teeth.” - Bob Eggleton
