Hailing from Long Beach, California, T.S.O.L. (True Sounds of Liberty) formed in 1979 during the first wave of American punk. The band's 1981 full-length LP Dance With Me is a seminal hardcore performance packed with angry, pre-goth angst. T.S.O.L.'s current lineup consists of original members Jack Grisham (vocals), Ron Emory (guitar), and Mike Roche (bass) along with drummer Antonio Hernandez and keyboardist Greg Kuehn (who's been involved with the band since the early '80s).
The 7-inch record contains two versions of the Rocky Horror Picture Show song "Sweet Transvestite". The A-side contains the band's Southern California hardcore interpretation rendered as only T.S.O.L. can. While the B-side of the record was recorded with a live studio audience just as if you were watching the movie at a theatre.
